Bernardo Correia
Country Manager Google Portugal

Bernardo Correia holds a degree in Economics from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, and has extensive experience in management, especially in the digital area.

Bernardo started his professional career in Portugal in beauty brands at L’Oreal and in home care brands at Unilever. In 2006 he moved to Unilever's headquarters, in London, to a role of international management at the company, being actively involved in the development of the global digital brands strategy.

In 2008, still in the United Kingdom, he joined Google to lead the relationship with the consumer goods industry. Later, he assumed the role of leading Google's international relations with the Media and Entertainment industry, having actively developed a set of projects with content producers from around the world, aiming to optimize and profit from the use of digital technologies. Over eight years, he was involved in creating new methodologies to help brands assess the value of the digital -- including search engines, online video, display, programmatic marketing, and mobile -- and supported the creation of new models of content for today's digital distribution platforms with the biggest Hollywood movie studios, game companies and music publishers.

In 2016, he returned to Portugal as the Country Manager for Google Portugal. Bernardo leads the business in the country and, under his leadership, several key projects have been launched in order to expand Google’s support to the country -- such as Atelier Digital, the undersea cable for the connection to Africa, or the digitization of Portuguese artworks, in partnership with museums, on Google Arts & Culture.
