With extensive operational and management experience in television, Luís Cunha Velho began his journey in the television world in 1980 at RTP.

In 1992 he joins TVI as Head of the Broadcast and Grid Department and in 2012 he assumes the position of General Director. In 2014, he is appointed to the position of TVI Administrator.

Luís Cunha Velho accumulates in 2015 his functions at TVI with the position of General Director of Plural Entertainment Portugal. In 2016, Luís Cunha Velho is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Plural, in addition to his functions in the Administration of TVI.

He was named CEO of Grupo Media Capital, SGPS in 2020.
