Inês Lynce is currently a full professor at the Department of Computer Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, President of INESC-ID and co-director of the CMU Portugal programme. She has been conducting research for over 20 years in the field of artificial intelligence, in the area of automatic reasoning. Her main contributions refer to the development of search algorithms for the solution of practical problems such as the realization of schedules or the modelling of biological networks. She is since 2019 a member of the Gender Balance group at Técnico and since 2020 a member of the editorial board of the Artificial Intelligence Journal.
