Mário Vaz is the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Portugal since 2012. He joined Telecel, later to become Vodafone, as Major Accounts Manager when the operator began commercial activity in 1992. He occupied various positions in the company before being appointed Director of Operational Marketing in 1994. In 1999 he became Director of the Corporate Business Unit, then Director of the Consumer Business Unit and in September 2009 joined the Board of Directors as Chief Commercial Officer – Consumer. Previously he performed functions in the sales area in companies such as Abreu Júnior, Bull-Zenith Data Systems, SGO, Elbe Portuguesa and Seleco.

Mário Vaz is a law graduate from the University of Lisbon.
