Nuno leads Cellnex Portugal since the company acquired OMTEL, the first independent Portuguese Tower Company, of which he was CEO since its start-up in 2018.

He was previously Managing Director at Barents Capital, an advisory firm focused on transaction services.

Between 2007 and 2016, Nuno held a series of executive positions at NOS Comunicações and at ZON TV Cabo, two of the biggest Telecom operators in Portugal, namely as Executive Board Member. During this period, he oversaw the areas of Customer Field Force, Market & Customer Intelligence, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Processes & Continuous Improvement, Back-Offices, Facility Services and the Universal Service Business Unit.

Still in the ZON Multimédia Group, Nuno was Chairman of the General Shareholders Assembly of ZON Azores and Chief of Staff to the Group CEO.

From 2002 to 2007, he was the Head of Marketing of the Wholesale Business Unit and Chief of Staff to the CEO of PT Comunicações.

Between 2000 and 2002, Nuno was a Senior Associate at DiamondCluster (previously, Cluster Consulting) having worked in Spain, Portugal and Brazil.

He began his professional career at AutoEuropa, (former JV between Volkswagen and Ford Motor Co.), where he worked from 1996 to 1998 in the areas of Industrial Engineering & Layout, Manufacturing Planning and Product Engineering.

Nuno has an Advanced Management Program (Kellogg School of Management and Universidade Católica Portuguesa), an MBA (INSEAD) and a Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (Instituto Superior Técnico).

Nuno Carvalhosa once played a tribute game of Sporting against the Rest of the World in the Alvalade XXI Stadium as part of his brother’s bachelor party.
